FREE WORK PERIOD! well almost.

Today was a really interesting day. In science I got some of my assignments and quizzes back, which I thought I did really well on. When it was time for computer science, Mr. Arkin showed us that our marks for Term 1 were posted outside the room. I rather not mention my mark. =)

When we went in the computer room, Mr. Arkin told us 'to take a note' as he would say it. We learned some pretty neat stuff about Turing that I thought wasn't capable of doing. We learned about playing music by the built-in procedure "play". An example would be - play ("cdefgab") -. It makes some really nice music. This is not all we learned today. We learned about putting limits to how long a datatype can be by adding (1) after a datatype. We learned about a procedure called getch. And another function called abs that returns the value of the argument. Aha, I'm not done yet. We learned about what the two predefined functions whatrow and whatcol were and these two predefined functions show us where the cursor is at. Okay, now I'm done.

After that short learning part of our class, we got a sheet that had a very long program but also at the same time very simple. It was the modified version of the program we did in class on Friday. We were to do a brief code analysis of the program, which me and my partner did quickly.

Yay! Now it was free work period. We had about 40 minutes left, and I was ready to do the repetition assignment even though I did them at home. We were to work on repetition assignments 3, 4, and 5. I thought they were pretty easy but I was only able to complete 3 in class because I was writing the program on the sheet we got from Mr. Arkin on the computer and since it was so long it wasted a good amount of time. But I needed to so it wasn't a complete waste. That was pretty much what I did. So much for a free work period.

For homework we have to do Repetition assignments 3, 4, and 5 if your not done and do the daily blog of course. So basically I have only about an hour of homework from computer science tonight including my daily blog... So now I can work on my other piles of homework. Maybe I can sleep by 3am today. But I won't get my hopes up. Oh yes and tomorrow is a late start, which I am very happy of because now I can sleep in. YES!!!
